Description
Segura is a Portuguese village of the Municipality of Idanha-a-Nova, in the Province of Beira Baixa, region of the Center (Beiras Region) and sub-region of Beira Interior Sul, with 73.83 ksqm area and 176 inhabitants (2011). It was a village and county seat between 1510 and 1836, when it was annexed to the municipality of Salvaterra do Extremo. It consisted of a parish and had, in 1801,574 inhabitants.
