Description
This land is situated on the main street of the village of Póvoa de Atalaia. The access is made by tarmac road and has the possibility of having a villa in it, through urban legalization, easy to approve, since it is framed within the urbanization plan of the village. After building, you can easily have access to two different variants.
Currently, the land serves as support to a civil construction company, but that will be cleaned by it in case of purchase, not needing the buyer to have extra expense to empty the same. Some olive trees that have been there for many years can be used.
Nearby and within the village, we have several cafes, a restaurant, a health post, the Eugénio de Andrade Museum, the Mother Church of Póvoa de Atalaia and some mini markets. The village of Alpedrinha and Soalheira are just a few kilometres away, as is the World Heritage village of Castelo Novo. The city of Fundão is at a distance of 13km, having good access from The National 18 and the A23. The district capital, Castelo Branco, is less than half an hour away.
The village where this land is included has a vast religious and historical heritage. In it we can find the Church of St. Stephen, the Chapel of St. Sebastian, traces and stretches of Roman sidewalk, Jewish villas and, mainly, the House of Poetry, seen the Póvoa de Atalaia be the Natal village of the poet Eugénio de Andrade.
Póvoa de Atalaia has two popular festivals, being one of the best known in the county, held in September, in honor of São Sebastião. The other is held in January, known as the 'Feast of the Popes'. According to legend, the area was invaded by a plague of locusts and the population appealed to the patron saint, who spared the village to the plague, offering him carolo porridge and coscoréis.
